Love Gives Kent Island - 2019 Kick Family

We are Cory and Amanda Kick. We adopted our son Ben from South Africa in February of this year. We are passionate about adoption because we believe every child belongs in a permanent family, not an institution. We believe adoption is a direct reflection of the gospel. We did nothing to earn a spot in God’s family, but He welcomes us in regardless of who we are or what we bring to the table.

We are currently pursuing our second child from South Africa. We chose this country specifically because all of the children have special needs. When we started our first adoption journey we wanted a healthy child under age 4. Fast forward to now and we have the coolest 7 year old boy who is profoundly deaf, is severely language delayed, and has Cerebral Palsy. We couldn’t love him more if we tried! We praise God that His ways are always higher than ours. Ben’s unique needs have taught us that all children deserve love regardless of their developmental, cognitive, or emotional abilities.

We are stunned and in awe that you would choose to support us on this journey. Thank you for standing behind adoption and fighting to make sure more children have families. It means more than we could ever express.
