Theology Proper

We believe that God is an eternal Spirit from everlasting to everlasting. We believe he created the world and as creator is sovereign over all in the world, obtaining all authority. We believe that in the unity of the Godhead consists the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, that while distinct in their offices, they are divinely perfect in redeeming mankind. In his moral attributes, we believe God centers around his holiness, separating sinful man from a holy god, while his natural attributes are displayed in his Immutability, Omniscience, Omniprescence, and Omnipotence, thus being worthy to receive all worship and praise.

Jesus Christ our Lord

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who brought Salvation to the World. We believe that Jesus has always existed and was with the Father in the creation of the world. We believe as the scripture prophesied that he was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and three days later, rose again. We believe that Jesus Christ ascended up to Heaven where he is exalted on the right hand of the God, and awaits his second coming, which will be preceded by the rapture of the church (see Eschatology for more on rapture).   While on earth Jesus was completely man and completely God.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit makes up the third part of the triune Godhead. We believe that the Holy Spirit has many works, among which are intercession for Christians in bringing them comfort, guidance and in prayer. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells someone when they accept Christ as their savior, seals a believer to the day of redemption, and supernaturally gives the believer a spiritual gift to be used in building and edifying the church. We believe that the Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit in a believers life, but a believer can also quench, grieve, and lie to the Holy Spirit and in doing hinder the fruit the Spirit is trying to produce. We believe all Christians are baptized into   the body of Christ by the Spirit.

Man/Sin

We believe that God created man in the image of God. We believe man is born with a sin nature because of Adams original sin in the garden of Eden. We believe man is a body, soul, and spirit made with the purpose of glorifying God. We believe that man was created in two separate genders: male and female, but through the covenant of marriage man and woman become one flesh/husband and wife. We believe man is to take care of God's creation and spend his life working for the purpose of bringing glory to God. We believe at the end of man's life on earth he dies a physical death and if he never accepted the salvation from God through Jesus Christ he will also die a spiritual death for eternity.

Salvation

We believe that man is saved by grace through faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the payment for the sins of the world. We believe that Jesus Christ death brought atonement between man and God. We believe man is justified before God through the blood of Jesus Christ. We believe that God is not willing that any should perish, but is willing that all of mankind come to repentance. We believe that after man is regenerated he can be eternally secure in Christ as the Holy Spirit assures man of his new life in Christ and seals until the day of redemption. We believe man must repent of his sinful nature and accept by faith the salvation freely offered to all of mankind.

The Church - the Body of Christ

We believe the church is composed of the body of believers who have been called out from the world, and who under the dominion and authority of Jesus Christ. We believe that the church began when the first person accepted Christ's death, burial and resurrection to be the payment for their sins. We believe the purpose of the church is to evangelize the lost, and educate and edify the saints. We believe that Jesus is head of the church.  We believe that the   church government is one of representation by the called out assembly, with the pastor being the leader. We believe that the two offices of the church are the pastor/elders and deacon.  We believe that the two ordinances of the church   are baptisms and communion.  We believe that the church should support and send missionaries. We believe that the church should be separate from the world.

Angels

We believe that angels were created by God. We believe that one third of all the angels fell from heaven when they followed Satan who was filled with pride. We believe that the work of a fallen angel is directly opposed to the plans of God. We believe that these fallen angels can posses the life of an unbeliever, but are still subject te God. We believe the destiny of the fallen angels is an eternity in hell. We believe that there are angels that did not rebel against God who are used to minister and act as messengers of God. We believe that there are types of angels, such as the cherubim and seraphim and some angels are assigned to guarding the welfare of believers.

We believe that after the judgment, Christ will reign on earth for one thousand years. We believe that after the thousand year reign of Christ on earth the earth and heaven will be destroyed and replaced with a new heaven and earth.
